Manare, is  a mountain house located in the commonly called “Sabana de Bogotá”, an area of large esplanades, where some families establish their recreational homes for short stays. This is a refuge house with two floors and terraces, a volumetric game that blends with green covers but contrasts with its clean lines in the middle of the vegetation of the mountainous landscape

The owners had a clear idea of what aspects they wanted to incorporate into the architecture such as green roofs, independent private spaces, a common area open to the outside and the direct integration of the kitchen with the social area. The result is a confortable and cozy project that keeps the warm and rural mountain spirit with rustic walls color adobe and stone.

After the study od aspects such as the place, the implantation, the internal and external relations, the incidence of the sun, the ventilation and the understanding of the functionality that the owners wanted, it is decided to work with three volumes, a first main volume of social life, a second which contains the space of the family and secondary rooms, craft workshop and game room, finally another volume for the master suite.
